The super nice folks at TotoFit were generous enough to send e a set of their Nubby Paw Pods, which I greedily put to the test. I have been in the market for a decent set of paw pods for a while now, and have cycled my way through a few different brands. I'm a canine fitness junkie, so these were a must-have in my repertoire! Some of you might be wondering what these paw pods are used for. Well, they tend to have a variety of uses. They help your dog build up core, postural, balance, and targeting strength. You can use them to teach a show stack, or simply use as a fitness conditioning tool. This blog from TotoFit has some great exercises you can do with the pods: http://totofit.com/exercising-with-nubby-smooth-totopawds/ The material of the Nubby pods are much softer and they feel much nicer to the touch than others I have tried. The hole in the middle of the pods allow for a multitude of configurations - pop in some poles for an instant weaving set, or a peanut holder. Or customize your own poles to use the pods as cavaletti holders. Fill the base with water for added stability, or flip and stack them for added difficulty. Remember to always start out slow when introducing your dog to fitness equipment. It's best to consult a vet or canine rehab professional before attempting any conditioning exercises with your dog.
